Reach School of Dance was founded in 2002 to teach dance in an enjoyable way to the highest possible standards. Whilst Funk and American Tap can be enjoyed by all ages on a fun level, Ballet, Modern and Tap are taught to the I.S.T.D. syllabus and Drama to the Trinity Guildhall syllabus. Since the school's foundation, a 100% pass rate has been achieved in all exams.
Rosita Yarboy, Principal of Reach, has taught at major stage schools including the Sylvia Young Theatre School, where, as head of tap, her pupils have included Denise Van Outen, Emma Bunton and Nick Berry. Rosita has enjoyed success as a West End and television dancer in shows such as Cats and Bubbling Brown Sugar and with Bruce Forsyth and Wayne Sleep. On television, she was the lead dancer in An American In Paris, The Second Generation and countless variety shows. Among the shows she has choreographed are Tapping Harlem, Girls on Tap, Houdini - The Musical, Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story (Japan), fashion shows and beauty pageants, cabarets, pantomimes and summer shows.
Paul Mills, who heads drama, has directed shows in the West End and internationally and is an examiner for Trinity Guildhall, a tutor for the RADA Shakespeare summer course and Venue Director for BBC's One Night Of Shakespeare and the Shakespeare Schools Festival. The directors of Reach have been responsible for pantomimes and musicals throughout the country for several years and have directed and
choreographed shows in the U.K., U.S.A., Spain, Turkey, Israel, Japan, Denmark and Germany.
Reach is proud to have comedian Joe Pasquale and The Clark Brothers, who have inspired generations of tappers on both sides of the Atlantic as patrons. |
